We're sorry to see you go. This page explains exactly what happens when you delete your ChordHR account and how to submit a deletion request.
Account deletion is permanent
Once your account is deleted, this action cannot be undone. All personal data associated with your account will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Please read through this page carefully before proceeding.
Organisation administrators
If your account is associated with an organisation on ChordHR, your organisation's super-admin may need to initiate or approve the deletion. If you are the super-admin, you can manage this directly from your organisation settings.
How to request account deletion
1
Export your data (optional)
Before deleting your account, consider exporting any data you may need — payroll records, attendance reports, employee documents. Log in to ChordHR and go to Settings → Data Export to download your records.
2
Cancel your subscription
If you are on a paid plan, cancel your subscription first to avoid future charges. Go to Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
3
Submit a deletion request
Navigate to Settings → Account → Delete Account and follow the in-app steps to submit your deletion request. You will be asked to confirm your intent before the request is processed.
4
Verify your identity
A confirmation prompt will be sent to verify your identity and prevent unauthorised deletions. Complete the verification step within 48 hours to proceed.
5
Deletion is processed
After verification, your account is deactivated immediately and your personal data is fully purged within 30 days. You will receive a final confirmation once the deletion is complete.
